This course is for horticultural entrepreneurs. Suitable for anyone who is looking at farm diversification into horticultural crops or someone with gardening and growing experience.
It will take you through developing a business plan, including researching markets and deciding on a your business model. You will learn how to and create a cropping plan and sowing timetable. By spring you will be equipped with the knowledge needed to start growing your commercial horticultural business.
This course concentrates on horticultural food production, but can also be relevant to other hort businesses, such as flowers or nursery crops.
One day a week, from December to March.
Includes in-person sessions, online sessions, online resources and farm visits.
