What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. In short…in signing up to a subscription CSA veg bag you are supporting the farmer by guaranteeing sales throughout every week of the year, by sharing in the ups and downs of growing, receiving gluts and also the wonky veg. Unlike buying at the supermarket, you are in touch with where your food is grown, we have an open gate policy (anyone is welcome to visit anytime).

We invite community involvement, through open days, volunteer sessions, courses and listening to your feedback.

Want a deeper under standing, read here. We are members of the CSA network and adhere to their charter.

Our buying policy

Most of our produce is grown on our agroecological land near Llanidloes, however we can’t grow enough to feed you all year round.

We work with other local growers within 25 miles. Ensuring their environmental credentials and their commitment to agroecological principles.

If we can’t source from people we know, we then buy from Watson and Pratts Organic wholesalers. We first select Welsh grown and then during the hungry season (April-May) produce comes from further afield.
